Our Summer Day of Fun is coming up on Saturday, June 23! It will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at Zilker Park. The Catholic 20-Somethings Ministry has grown to 200 members! As a ministry that has grown to include so many people, it would be possible to attend something all year long without meeting half the people in the group. So, we have established two annual events as events that we want EVERYONE to attend: the Christmas cocktail party and our summer day of fun. This way we can see everyone who is a part of our group! So, if you attend nothing else the whole year, please make a point to at least attend those two events! Here are the details for the upcoming event...
When and where:
Join us beginning at noon at Zilker Park. Directions to where we will be located...
-From Lamar, head west on Barton Springs Road.
-Go through the light at Robert E. Lee and take the first right you can.
There will be a small weekend entrance fee at the gate into the park.
-Take a right into the first parking lot.
-We will be congregating at those picnic tables just beyond the parking lot.
The plan:
-Lots of food
-Sports
-A water balloon toss--be prepared to get wet!
-Fellowship
What to bring:
-Footballs, volleyballs (there are sand courts), Frisbees, etc.
-Meat for the grill
-Whatever you'd like to drink (the park does not allow alcohol or glass)
-Last names A-M: bring a side dish (chips, salad, fruit, etc.)
-Last names N-Z: bring a dessert
-Sunscreen
(The leadership team will provide paper goods, ice, buns, and grilling stuff.)
