It's safe to say spiritual momentum is an issue many of us struggle with from time to time. Whether it's returning from a weekend retreat, leaving Mass after a good homily, or watching an inspirational movie, it can be difficult to capture the spiritual high we feel at that very moment and hold on to it for very long once we're back in "the real world." So how can we sustain spiritual momentum to live a life that has a steady, strong spiritual purpose? How can we avoid the lows that often follow a spiritual high point?
Make plans now to attend our next monthly forum tomorrow where Cheryl Maxwell, the director of liturgy at St. Thomas More, will speak about sustaining spiritual momentum! "Max" is an awesome speaker, and this is a topic you won't want to miss. The interactive discussion group will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the St. Theresa Jordan Hall Youth Room. Jordan Hall is located next to the church office. A group of us usually meet for 7 p.m. daily Mass just before the forum . If you're interested, please meet in the Narthex around 6:55 p.m. for Mass and we'll walk over to Jordan Hall together after Mass for the discussion. For questions or directions, please call Mariangela Cavazos at 718-825-7975. |
